Scarlett Moffatt – who is currently on I’m A Celebrity – has announced her and partner Scott Dobinson are expecting their second child<\/p>\n

Scarlett Moffatt <\/a>has announced her and partner Scott Dobinson are expecting their second child.<\/p>\n

The I’m A Celebrity<\/a> star has been open about her struggles to conceive <\/a>but the couple, who already have son Jude, have excitingly announced they are set to welcome another baby into the world<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“We honestly can\u2019t believe we\u2019re writing this… After everything, we feel unbelievably lucky to be able to say\u2026 our family is growing. One little miracle gave us Jude, and now he\u2019s going to be a big brother,” she wrote.<\/p>\n

“And if there\u2019s one thing we know for certain, it\u2019s that he is going to be the most amazing big brother. We are so grateful, so excited, and still a little bit in shock\u2026 Our hearts are fuller than we ever thought possible.”<\/p>\n

During this most recent stint in the jungle, Scarlett explained how she had lost a baby as she and her partner tried for a second child. “We tried for a long time and had some losses, and it’s not nice, is it? And because no one talks about it, you think something is wrong with you. You’re like, why is it not happening? It’s a hard one,” she explained to her campmates about their struggles.<\/p>\n

“After Jude was born, we tried again and got quite far on and miscarried, and I remembered Scott’s mum and dad took Jude for the day, and me and Scott just laid in bed crying. It was awful. Because in our head, we were like, \u2018oh, like, imagine them running downstairs at Christmas<\/a> together\u2019. You imagine it. When you lose a baby in that way, you’re sort of mourning a life that you imagined. It’s just really sad. We just have to be so grateful we have got ours.”<\/p>\n

Scarlett later explained that she questioned herself and admitted it made life feel “heavier”.<\/p>\n

“When all you want is a family. It’s really hard when that doesn’t just come naturally and easily. You know, you question yourself. You question, why is it not happening? Is it ever going to happen? And it’s just really hard, like it just makes life feel heavier,” she said.<\/p>\n

Back in December, Scarlett said her and Scott had a conversation following their miscarriage, where she admitted she “couldn’t handle the heartbreak anymore” and they were going to “stop” any attempts to expand their family.<\/p>\n

At the time, she recalled how she told Scott: “We\u2019ve got Jude, so let\u2019s enjoy him.” She added: “I just think it\u2019s so brave when people then continue the journey because it is soul-destroying. And I think it\u2019s really strong people who can cope. It was awful on my body, too. So, we made the decision to just enjoy having Jude.”<\/p>\n
