Jeremy Clarkson<\/a>\u2019s hugely popular TV show Clarkson\u2019s Farm<\/a> could be set for some tough competition \u2013 from his girlfriend.<\/p>\n

Lisa Hogan has announced her own programme that essentially combines the farming elements of Amazon Prime\u2019s Clarkson\u2019s Farm \u2013 which drops its fifth season in June<\/a> \u2013 with the matchmaking of Love Island<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Named Farming for Love and based on Farmer Wants a Wife from an original idea by the UK\u2019s Country Living magazine, it will follow a group of single farmers as they search for The One.<\/p>\n

While a somewhat unconventional format for a reality dating show, it\u2019s already proven successful, having aired in\u00a0more than\u00a034\u00a0territories worldwide,\u00a0and this year, it celebrates\u00a0its\u00a025th\u00a0anniversary.\u00a0Over this time, it has led to more than\u00a0250 marriages and the arrival of over 600 babies.<\/p>\n

Of course, the show will be set against the backdrop of rural Britain as the farmers invite potential partners to live and work alongside them.<\/p>\n

While the couples test their compatibility and navigate the world of modern dating, the show will also offer an authentic look at the realities of farming life, with cameras following their everyday lives.<\/p>\n

The Irish-born former actress and screenplay writer has been in a relationship<\/a> with former Top Gear star Jeremy, 66, since 2017.<\/p>\n

Speaking previously about their romance, Lisa, who appears in Clarkson\u2019s Farm running the Diddly Squat farm shop near Chipping Norton in West Oxfordshire, said she initially knew of Jeremy through his writing, not his presenting.<\/p>\n

Asked what he\u2019s like off-camera, she told The Times: \u2018He\u2019s always incredibly inquisitive.<\/p>\n

\u2018His mind is always on the move. He\u2019ll come in fizzing with energy about the smallest thing. I like that.<\/p>\n

\u2018I used to let my son stay up to watch Top Gear, but I never really watched it myself. I knew him more from his writing. I always loved his columns. I thought he was bright \u2013 and probably amusing. And I think he thought I\u2019d be amusing.\u2019<\/p>\n
