The International Chamber of Commerce United Kingdom (ICC UK)<\/a> will host senior business representatives from more than 25 European countries in London next week, as leaders gather to address mounting pressures on global trade and economic cooperation.<\/p>\n

The meeting will bring together participants from across the continent, including Ukraine, T\u00fcrkiye, Scandinavia and major G7 economies such as France and Germany, underlining the breadth of the ICC network and the continued importance of cross-border collaboration.<\/p>\n

The event comes at a time of heightened geopolitical tension and growing fragmentation in the global trading system, with business leaders expected to focus on practical ways to maintain stability and resilience in international markets.<\/p>\n

\u201cEurope\u2019s business community is coming together in London at a defining moment for the global economy. In an increasingly uncertain world, cooperation matters more, not less.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, John W. H. Denton, Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce, warned that fragmentation poses a direct risk to global growth, highlighting the need to keep trade open and functional through coordinated business and government action.<\/p>\n

Discussions will take place against a backdrop of continued strain on multilateral trade frameworks, including regulatory divergence and stalled progress on reform. ICC has repeatedly called for the preservation of open, predictable trading systems, particularly in areas such as digital trade and cross-border data flows.<\/p>\n

The London meeting is expected to focus on a series of strategic priorities, including strengthening the international trading system following WTO Ministerial Conference 14, addressing the estimated $2.7tn (c. \u00a31.99tn) global trade finance gap, and improving access to capital for small and medium-sized enterprises.<\/p>\n

Delegates will also explore ways to accelerate digital trade, expand access to dispute resolution mechanisms, and deepen engagement with multilateral institutions, as part of broader efforts to reinforce confidence in global commerce.<\/p>\n

Central to the discussions will be the ICC\u2019s \u201cCompact for Trade, Growth and Jobs\u201d, which sets out a roadmap for governments and businesses to work together to ensure trade continues to drive economic growth and employment.<\/p>\n

The gathering signals a clear message from Europe\u2019s business community: despite increasing uncertainty, collaboration remains essential to sustaining a connected and resilient global economy.<\/p>\n
