Man\/Woman\/Chainsaw<\/a>\u00a0have announced their long-awaited debut album \u2018Cannonball\u2019 and shared the pulsating new single \u2018Nosedive\u2019.<\/p>\n

The London-based six-piece band\u00a0signed to Fiction Records at the end of 2025 when they dropped the beguiling single \u2018Only Girl\u2019.<\/a> Now, they have confirmed that their album will be released on August 7 in multiple physical formats \u2013 pre-order your copy here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018Nosedive\u2019,\u00a0like \u2018Only Girl\u2019,\u00a0was\u00a0produced by\u00a0Seth Evans\u00a0(Geordie Greep<\/a>,\u00a0Black Midi<\/a>) and Margo Broom (Fat White Family<\/a>,\u00a0Big Joanie<\/a>), and it is a five-and-a-half minute danceable, DFA-influenced art-punk jam with synths, drums and strings swirling into a heady, propulsive climax.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a song about longing for both comfort and freedom simultaneously in a relationship through the metaphor of being an injured bird needing shelter,\u201d said singer and keyboardist Emmie-Mae. :We turned it into a danceable upbeat track, which made the tone shift throughout the song as though you find a way to pick yourself up and fly away.\u201d<\/p>\n

Man\/Woman\/Chainsaw were named one of\u00a0NME\u2018s 100 Essential Emerging Artists<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0watch out for in 2025. The London-based band were praised for their \u201ccircus of orchestral grunge insanity\u201d.<\/p>\n

They are also heading out on a UK and European tour<\/a>, with a string of dates having taken place last week. In September and October, they will play a number of UK dates, culminating in London\u2019s Electric Ballroom on October 7. They released their breakthrough EP \u2018Eazy\u00a0Peazy\u2019 in 2024,\u00a0which\u00a0NME awarded four stars <\/a>and\u00a0said\u00a0contained\u00a0a \u201cfusion of grand strings and pianos with more traditional, riff-based rock chaos\u201d.<\/p>\n

The review added: \u201c\u2018Eazy Peazy\u2019 practically fizzes with youthful energy and the possibilities of musical creation. It\u2019s raw and throws everything in its sizeable arsenal at the wall, however, basically everything sticks.
