Adam Thomas<\/a> has issued a new statement in response to him speaking out on the treatment he faced from David Haye during their time on I’m A Celebrity… South Africa.<\/p>\n

The Manchester-born actor and the former boxer returned to take part in ITV’s<\/a> spin-off of the main series, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here<\/a>, which sees 12 former campmates head to South African Savannah to be put through their paces again before one is crowned the show’s ultimate ‘legend’.<\/p>\n

But David was seen at the centre of the early controversy during the show, and on Friday (April 17) night viewers were in uproar after he criticised Adam for opting out of a Bushtucker Trial because he was “not feeling well”, before he went on to claim he was “dehydrated”.<\/p>\n

Despite fellow campmate Beverley Callard urging him to “have a little bit of sympathy”, boxer David called actor Adam “useless”, adding: “Who gives a s*** if he doesn\u2019t feel well. He\u2019s a grown-ass man.”<\/p>\n

The outrage led to former Emmerdale<\/a> star Adam speaking out in a lengthy post, <\/a>opening up about how David affected him over the course of the series, saying he “broke” him, which he says the sportsman has since apologised for.<\/p>\n

However, during Monday’s (April 20) episode of the South African spin-off, viewers saw David continuing to make digs at Adam, who hit back and asked his fellow campmate to back off before he was seen breaking down in tears in the Bush Telegraph. The Waterloo star said: \u201cI don\u2019t know where it came from I really don\u2019t. What are you getting out of it bro? He just keeps on having a go, come on man its not funny no more man.”<\/p>\n

Despite the drama continuing to play out on the show, which was pre-recorded last year and will conclude with a live final this Friday (April 24), Adam has spoken out again, and called for ‘kindness’.<\/p>\n

In a message written on his Instagram Story, the star said: “Guys, the love you have shown me fills my heart. Thank you for all your kind words but also in a world<\/a> full of hate… let’s just be kind people! I don’t like seeing all the negative comments about David I’ve made peace with it, let’s just move on.”<\/p>\n

It comes as David was seen becoming the second campmate to be eliminated. After winning the latest trial, Ashley Roberts was invited to join Ant and Dec and was told that she must choose one celebrity to save, who will then pick another to save, starting a chain. David was the only campmate not to be saved and in a twist, he got to choose who was leaving with him, and opted for Gemma Collins.<\/p>\n

Following his exit, asked about his relationship with Adam, and where they stand now, it appeared David couldn’t help but make one final dig. “No bad blood from my side,” he admitted. “Look, I’ve been immersed in tough boxing gyms since I was ten years old. Literally fighting daily, much bigger men than myself, pushing myself to the limits, physically and mentally.<\/p>\n

“I won the world heavyweight championship against a seven-foot Russian giant. So when a grown man tells me that a fun TV show – where we’re being paid handsomely every single day – is the hardest thing he’s ever been through, it’s just not a frequency I recognise.” He added: “I was actually on my best behaviour in there, honestly. I’ve spoken to Adam, I’ve said my piece, and some of what’s still to air will speak for itself.
