A match on the ATP<\/a> Challenger Tour spiralled into disorder when a player confronted a spectator, forcing the umpire to step in. Tempers flared near the conclusion of the opening set<\/a>, with the player requiring an escort away from the crowd.<\/p>\n The individual involved was Nerman Fatic, who was facing Tseng Chun-hsin at the Challenger tournament in Rome. The first set stood level at 3-3 when Chun-hsin caught the net cord while attempting a drop shot.<\/p>\n The lucky touch drained the pace from the stroke, which bounced twice before Fatic could even get set to respond. The Bosnian wheeled round towards the spectators and started walking slowly in their direction.<\/p>\n The umpire, clearly recognising what was unfolding, called out “calma” through the microphone before leaping from his chair. Yet it appeared to be the wake-up call he required, as Fatic proceeded to not only claim the match, but also secure the set.<\/p>\n The Sarajevo-born player has taken part in the qualifying rounds for five Grand Slam events, but has never progressed past the second round.
