Hugo Ekitike wrote: “I\u2019m out of here, I\u2019ll be back soon,” as he shared a saddening social media post in the aftermath of surgery. The Liverpool<\/a> striker faces up to nine months away from the beautiful game after rupturing his Achilles tendon<\/a> last week.<\/p>\n The Frenchman went to ground during Liverpool’s 2-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain<\/a> at Anfield<\/a> before he was stretchered of the pitch. Arne Slot<\/a> confirmed the worst in the aftermath, in that Ekitike<\/a> faces a prolonged period away from football as he recovers from the injury.<\/p>\n And now, Ekitike has hinted that he will be taking a break from social media as he continues in his recovery. The 23-year-old took to Instagram on Tuesday afternoon to share an emotional photo carousel from his @heesheki account which boasts 431,000 followers.<\/p>\n The first showed him sitting in a room with a protective boot on his leg, before an AI-generated video depicted him running off crutches and scoring a goal against Manchester City.<\/p>\n The third showed Ekitike sat in a wheelchair in hospital, before the fourth was of him playing video games with friends.<\/p>\n The most heart-breaking of all was another AI-generated photo of Ekitike stood in tears wearing his France kit, reaching out to a shattered World Cup trophy.<\/p>\n That is a nod to the fact that the forward will miss this summer’s tournament in North America, as well as half of next season if predictions ring true.<\/p>\n FOLLOW OUR LIVERPOOL FC FACEBOOK PAGE! The rapper, who died at just 26 in 2018, is heard saying in the clip: “Life is good though. I want y’all to see that life is great.<\/p>\n “Your life is great too. Have a good time, man.<\/p>\n “Have some fun, having fun is okay. Get some love in your life, whether that be another person or just loving yourself, man.<\/p>\n “Love is good, spread love. Spread love. I’m out of here, I’ll be back soon.”<\/p>\n Content cannot be displayed without consent<\/p>\n Ekitike also shared that clip to the stories section of his account.<\/p>\n Liverpool were quick to comment on the post, sharing their support with their striker who faces a long road to recovery.
