Coronation Street legend Brooke Vincent has revealed her new soap role seven years after she last played Sophie Webster<\/p>\n

Brooke Vincent is returning to soap but it’s not Coronation Street<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 33-year-old Sophie Webster actress has joined Channel 4<\/a> soap Hollyoaks<\/a>. She famously played Kevin and Sally Webster’s youngest daughter<\/a> for 15 years between 2004 to 2019.<\/p>\n

Brooke<\/a> left the soap to go on maternity leave and has since welcomed sons Mexx and Monroe with footballer beau Kean Bryan. However, she’s now swapping Weatherfield for Chester in a huge new role.<\/p>\n

Sharing the exciting news on Instagram<\/a> alongside a snap standing next to the iconic Hollyoaks sign, Brooke said: “So excited to be joining the cast of Hollyoaks for such a powerful storyline.<\/p>\n

“I am so grateful for this opportunity to be back on screen playing a brand new character plus my family will be happy I\u2019m back in a full time job haha!”<\/p>\n

A source told The Sun: “Brooke is an amazing signing for the soap. She\u2019s a great actress and she\u2019s got a huge storyline coming \u2013 one that will surprise people. It’s going to be really, really exciting as it all plays out.”<\/p>\n

It comes after Brook previously told the Mirror<\/a> that Corrie felt like “home” to her.<\/p>\n

She said last year: “If they ask me, I\u2019d love to go back and see them. It\\s a different type of job now we\u2019ve got the boys. I\u2019ve got a lot of friends there, it\u2019s like my family.<\/p>\n

“It’s such a lovely place to work, so definitely, I feel like I\u2019ve had such a long time off that I\u2019ve been able to enjoy my children without the schedule of how hard it can sometimes be.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think obviously now they\u2019re a bit older and they\u2019re a bit more independent, and there\u2019s obviously the opportunity to take on more work.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s the adult conversation, routine, it\u2019s always a gorgeous place for me to work, and I have gone off and worked in different environments with different people, but Corrie is a huge part of me, and I feel incredibly lucky to have that.”<\/p>\n

Fans will have to wait and see who Brooke will play and what brings the character to the village.<\/p>\n
