It\u2019s the movie Acme didn\u2019t want you to see. Or so says the first trailer for Coyote vs. Acme, which is finally coming out on August 28<\/a>. In reality, it\u2019s the movie that Warner Bros. didn\u2019t want to see after it unceremoniously shelved<\/a> the film back in 2023. But, a few years later, Ketchup Entertainment<\/a> picked up the rights and is now gearing up for release. Something that, after you see this trailer, you will be very excited for.<\/p>\n

Directed by Dave Green, Coyote vs. Acme is exactly that. For decades, we\u2019ve watched as Wile E. Coyote has bought Acme products to help him capture the Road Runner, only for them to constantly fail. Well, now he\u2019s recruited a lawyer named Kevin Avery (Will Forte) to represent him in a lawsuit against the mega-corporation. Acme\u2019s lawyer? John Cena. Here\u2019s the trailer.<\/p>\n

That looks so freaking good, and it just makes us wonder, what was it about this movie that made Warner Bros. think it wasn\u2019t worth releasing? It\u2019s got something for basically all ages here, from the actors to the iconic cartoon characters, the meta story, and all the goofy, over-the-top humor. Basically, this feels like a complete home run, and we are just so excited we\u2019ll all get to see it.<\/p>\n

And even if it\u2019s not great, the marketing 100% is. The meta twist on the film\u2019s real-life situation, making Acme into Warner Bros., while also fitting the narrative of the film, is perfect. We think the final product will be excellent too, but in our eyes, this is already a win.<\/p>\n

Coyote vs. Acme comes to theaters on August 28.<\/p>\n
