German brand Bombtrack just updated their unique aluminum utility bike, the Munroe Cargo. Equipped with a 20\u2033 front wheel and a 27.5\u2033 rear wheel, this refreshed cargo-oriented bike features an integrated front rack that sits independently of the fork. The Bombtrack Munroe Cargo uses two wheel sizes in its load-oriented design. With an aluminum frame said to be specifically designed for heavy hauling, the Munroe Cargo features a frame-mounted front rack with a 30-kilogram (66-pound) capacity. The double top tube and tall head tube on the bike are also intended to deliver a stable ride and ample visibility even when loaded. Bombtrack says a smaller front wheel improves maneuverability, and the supplied wheels feature wide rims and large tires for comfort and capability on uneven terrain. <\/p>\n

Sporting a frame and fork made of 6061 hydroformed T6 aluminum, the Munroe Cargo uses a 68mm threaded bottom bracket standard, a 1-1\/8\u2033 threadless stem, post mount brakes in the front and rear, and 12 x 100 \/ 12 x 142mm thru-axle spacing. It also has a 27.2mm seatpost, clearance for a 2.2\u2033 tire in the rear and 20 x 2.5\u2033 in the front, and a 49mm chainline with a 42T 1x max and 52 \/ 38T 2x max. It\u2019s ISO tested to mountain bike standards and bike trailer approved. The Munroe Cargo comes in three colors, Matt Swamp Green, Matt Teal, and Matt Slate Grey, with a complete build kit featuring microSHIFT drivetrain and Bombtrack finishing kit.<\/p>\n

The Munroe Cargo\u2019s complete build weighs 14.8 kilograms (32 pounds) in size medium and has a rider weight limit of 140 kilograms (308 pounds). The bike is available now through Bombtrack and its dealer network and retails for $1,430 for the complete or $900 for the frame and fork.<\/p>\n
