BBC Radio Scotland have announced changes to the presenting line-up of two weekday daytime programmes.<\/p>\n
Grant Stott will return as presenter of Afternoons Monday-Thursday with radio broadcaster and BBC Scotland\u2019s Landward presenter, Arlene Stuart taking over on Fridays. Meanwhile Connie McLaughlin has been confirmed as presenter of Radio Scotland\u2019s Mornings programme three days per week, with Stephen Jardine continuing to host the Thursday and Friday editions.<\/p>\n
Broadcasting between 1.30-4pm, the new line-up for Afternoons will be in place from Monday 1 June 2026 and bring audiences a lively mix of music, chat and big interviews, with a focus on the vibrant arts, culture and entertainment scene in Scotland and beyond.<\/p>\n
The current afternoon presenting line-up of Michelle McManus, Len Pennie and Nicola Meighan, will step down from Friday 29 May.<\/p>\n
Victoria Easton Riley, Head of Audio and Events at BBC Scotland, said: \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to welcome Grant back to Afternoons and to bring Arlene into our daytime team. Grant is already a firm favourite with Radio Scotland audiences through The Vinyl Collective, and Arlene is an experienced radio and television broadcaster who we know brings a real warmth and connection to listeners.<\/p>\n

Arlene added: \u201cI\u2019m so excited to join BBC Radio Scotland on Friday afternoons to kick start the weekend. I love radio and the connection it brings with listeners, I can\u2019t wait to get behind the mic and get the conversations started.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mornings, presented by Connie McLaughlin Monday-Wednesday and Stephen Jardine Thursday-Friday will continue to broadcast between 9am-12noon. Commenting, Connie McLaughlin said: \u201cI thoroughly enjoy the lively three hours spent with Radio Scotland listeners debating the issues of the day and hearing all their views. I\u2019m looking forward to continuing and building that relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n
