{"id":546336,"date":"2026-04-23T12:01:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-23T12:01:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/546336\/"},"modified":"2026-04-23T12:01:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T12:01:09","slug":"bmw-7-series-gets-neue-klasse-redesign-and-452-mile-ev-range","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/546336\/","title":{"rendered":"BMW 7 Series gets Neue Klasse redesign and 452-mile EV range"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Unlike with the i7 EV, energy for the motor comes from the same 18.7kWh &#8216;Gen5&#8217; battery as before, offering an unchanged electric-only range of 50 miles.<\/p>\n<p>As standard, all 7 Series models, regardless of powertrain, feature adaptive dampers and active rear steering.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Changes on the outside are less pronounced, but the 7 Series\u2019\u00a0design has been updated to match the new Neue Klasse look introduced by the iX3.<\/p>\n<p>This is most notably at the front, where it gets thinner lights\u00a0(embedded with crystals \u201cthat sparkle\u201d), new air intakes\u00a0and a new grille design with horizontal slats.<\/p>\n<p>At the rear, the 7 Series looks nearly identical to the i3, with new lights that are designed to emphasise its width. Alloy wheels\u00a0are 22in as standard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re merging Neue Klasse with luxury. This car is all about presence,\u201d\u00a0said Max Missoni, BMW\u2019s lead designer for luxury models. \u201cThe grille stands proud and the eyes are focused.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"lazyload\" height=\"581\" width=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/bmw-7-series-facelift-2026-032.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Inside, the new 7 Series is the first BMW to feature a touchscreen for the front passenger \u2013 a feature that has been offered in Audi and Mercedes luxury cars for years.
