Cameras first started rolling in February last year and have continued on the seafront this week.<\/p>\n
Set in 2039, the series depicts a world of soaring temperatures, rising seas and an increasingly menacing political climate.<\/p>\n
Yesterday, crews were spotted on the beach where dystopian sets have been constructed.<\/p>\n

These include a run-down ice cream truck repurposed as a mobile medical unit, and posters reading \u201cVote Meyer to save our land: 2039\u201d, offering a glimpse of the show\u2019s themes.<\/p>\n
The six-part drama will air on the BBC, although a release date has yet to be announced.<\/p>\n
It features a cast including Anna Friel \u2014 known for Pushing Daisies, Brookside and Goal! \u2014 who was seen filming on set yesterday.<\/p>\n

She is joined by Katherine Parkinson, known for Doc Martin and The IT Crowd, and Sex Education actor Connor Swindells.<\/p>\n
Clara Rugaard (I Am Mother, Black Mirror) and Golda Rosheuvel (Bridgerton, Dune: Part One) also appear in the series.<\/p>\n
The drama, which follows teenager Chance \u2014 played by September Says actress Pascale Kann \u2014 has been written by BAFTA award-winning writer Kayleigh Llewellyn.<\/p>\n
