Castleford Tigers centre Zac Cini is a man under the spotlight after speculation over the past few days linking him with a move away from the club.<\/p>\n

Cini, who has been filling in at full-back in recent weeks due to the injury to star signing Blake Taaffe, was a shock exclusion from the side\u2019s victory over Wigan Warriors at the weekend.<\/p>\n

Young playmaker Fletcher Rooney played in his place, leaving the former Parramatta man to play in the reserve grade side later that afternoon.<\/p>\n

With local neighbours Bradford Bulls currently going through an injury crisis, reports from\u00a0LoveRugbyLeague\u00a0suggested that Cini could be on the outer, however Bradford\u2019s lack of quota spaces hampered that move.<\/p>\n

Putting an end to any speculation, Tigers boss Ryan Carr has confirmed that Cini will be staying put at the club, and rejected any notion that the 25-year-old would be exiting the Onebore Stadium.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s part of our squad at the moment.\u00a0I don\u2019t read the media, so I\u2019m not sure what people are saying\u00a0outside of our organisation.<\/p>\n

But, yeah, as it stands right now, he\u2019s part of our squad for this weekend\u00a0and that\u2019s the way it\u2019s going to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

Castleford Tigers boss hoping for stability in team selection<\/p>\n

Fellow outside-back Semi Valemei is another player who was named in the 20-man squad to face Wigan, but he wasn\u2019t selected, with hamstring injuries hampering his start to life in West Yorkshire.<\/p>\n

Carr revealed that the Fijian is in doubt for this week too, with a selection call to be made on him later in the week.<\/p>\n

\u201cAgain, it\u2019s sort of a week-to-week, day-to-day,\u00a0week-to-week proposition right now with Semi.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s working hard as he can.\u00a0We just want to make sure that when he is back, he\u2019s back for good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even if Valemei was able to pass a fitness test, Carr doesn\u2019t want to make too many changes, if at all, following such a good performance over Wigan.<\/p>\n

The Castleford boss said there will be \u201cminimal\u201d changes, if any at all as he looks for consistency in his sides efforts week-on-week.<\/p>\n

\u201cOther than injury pick-ups, yeah, that\u2019s the plan,\u201d Carr said. \u201cWe\u2019ve got a couple of knocks here and there,\u00a0so we\u2019ll just make sure that we pick the fittest, healthiest possible team\u00a0to go out there and compete hard tomorrow night.\u201d<\/p>\n
