\n Police have confirmed one man is in a serious and life-threatening condition in hospital.\n<\/p>\n

\n A 69-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and remains in custody at this time.\n<\/p>\n
\n A spokesperson for Medina Food Services said: “We are aware of an accident involving\u00a0a\u00a0Medina vehicle as it was\u00a0departing\u00a0the Isle of Wight ferry.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n “This is obviously very distressing,\u00a0and our thoughts are with everyone involved.\u00a0\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n “We have already launched an internal investigation and\u00a0are\u00a0fully\u00a0supporting\u00a0the authorities in their\u00a0ongoing\u00a0investigations.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Emergency services were called to Town Quay Road at 10.46am.\n<\/p>\n
\n Red Funnel said vehicles coming from Southampton cannot travel currently.\n<\/p>\n
\n For vehicles coming from the Island, cars and vans up to 6.5m are able to travel.\n<\/p>\n
