Noah Hawley, the man behind Fargo, the upcoming Far Cry TV adaptation, and Alien: Earth has revealed that Season 2 of the science fiction show is close to beginning to film at Pinewood Studios in London. “What I can say is we start [shooting] this summer. We\u2019re getting close,\u201d he told Deadline<\/a> in an interview. \u201cI did a stage walk today past the props and costumes. Things are being built. It\u2019s always exciting to see it.” <\/p>\n

As for what to expect in Season 2, which will continue the story of Wendy and the other hybrids \u2014 a blend of synthetic body and child consciousness \u2014 and the ongoing consequences of the crash of the deep space research vessel USCSS Maginot, Hawley kept details close to his chest but did say “it\u2019s a bigger show, more world-building” and that Season 2 “certainly expands on the promise of the first.”<\/p>\n

Will we get a Season 3? “It\u2019s my hope \u2014 I have a place that I\u2019m going, but I don\u2019t know how long it will take me to get there,” Hawley said. “Assuming that the price of execution and the audience stays commensurate, we could go for as long as we want. If we nurture them, these franchises can give back for a very long time.”<\/p>\n

Hawley also revealed a little more about the role Game of Thrones alum Peter Dinklage will be playing in the show<\/a>. “I am, for better or worse, an ensemble writer who has never met a character I didn\u2019t like, but he\u2019s got a major role, and people are going to feel it\u2019s a worthy role for him.”<\/p>\n
