{"id":549526,"date":"2026-04-25T05:32:19","date_gmt":"2026-04-25T05:32:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/549526\/"},"modified":"2026-04-25T05:32:19","modified_gmt":"2026-04-25T05:32:19","slug":"noah-donohoe-likely-noah-entered-culvert-through-metal-bars-expert","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/549526\/","title":{"rendered":"Noah Donohoe: Likely Noah entered culvert through metal bars &#8211; expert"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Dr Mark Cooper, an expert in health and safety, also gave evidence on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">During the hearing the jury was shown a map of the manholes along the culvert.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Pope and Cooper were both asked about their views in relation to fencing around the culvert.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Pope said that from his perspective nearby fencing in Linear Park &#8220;would prevent unauthorised access from the majority of the public, but wouldn&#8217;t exclude it completely&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Cooper said that when it came to the fencing he &#8220;felt very strongly&#8221; and that it was &#8220;a mixed picture&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He told the inquest anybody who had access to the properties could, in turn, get to the gardens \u2013 where there isn&#8217;t fencing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Cooper also told the hearing that being in a confined space affects people in different ways.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Some are very able and some you wouldn&#8217;t want them to do it \u2013 as they are claustrophobic \u2013 it&#8217;s person dependent.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Dr Mark Cooper, an expert in health and safety, also gave evidence on Friday.
