Jet2 has issued a major update to holidaymakers ahead of a busy summer\"Jet2<\/p>\n

Jet2 has confirmed a new price rule that will affect anyone who has booked flights or holidays. Ahead of a busy summer, the airline has announced today (April 24) that it will not introduce surcharges on any booked flights or holidays to cover cost increases such as jet fuel, assuring customers that “the price they book is the price they will pay.”<\/p>\n

It comes amid speculation that some airlines and travel<\/a> companies may introduce such surcharges, causing passengers to face additional costs after making a booking. The surcharges could come as a result of jet fuel doubling in price<\/a> since the start of the US-Israel war with Iran in the Middle East.<\/a><\/p>\n

However Jet2<\/a> says it has removed the surcharge provision across all flights and holidays, even though the company has never previously applied them. The airline says the ‘industry-leading’ decision <\/a>not to pass such cost increases onto customers after they have booked means millions of holidaymakers can lock in their flight or holiday price with ‘total confidence’.<\/p>\n

The policy applies to all flights and holidays booked through any channel whether online, via the mobile app, contact centre or independent travel agent. It does not include tourist taxes, which are payable in resort at the time of the holiday and are paid directly to the accommodation provider.<\/p>\n

Jet2 says that this move “reaffirms Jet2\u2019s position as the UK\u2019s favourite airline and tour operator”, after it secured Which? Recommended Provider status in seven categories, with Jet2.com receiving the accolade for the past 11 years running.<\/p>\n

On top of ruling out surcharges, the company also offers flexible payment options on Jet2holidays bookings, with a low \u00a360 per person deposit and part-payment plans such as PayPal Pay in 3.<\/p>\n
