\n\tWith Boston<\/a> Blue heading into Season 2, Donnie Wahlberg<\/a> is gearing up to head back to Canada to film the CBS<\/a> offshoot\u2019s sophomore season.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 2x Emmy nominee recently explained that the show films in \u201cboth\u201d Toronto<\/a> and Boston for the Beantown-set police procedural, which is a spin-off of his NYPD series Blue Bloods (2010-\u201924).<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhen I got offered the job, I\u2019m like, \u2018This is a dream come true.\u2019 I thought, I\u2019ll do a spinoff in LA or Vegas or Texas, somewhere hot,\u201d he recalled on Radio Andy<\/a>. \u201cAnd they were like, \u2018How about Boston?\u2019 I was like, \u2018Ahhhh.\u2019 They hooked me. And I was like, \u2018Alright, let\u2019s do it in Boston.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWahlberg continued, \u201cAnd they were like, \u2018But we can\u2019t afford to shoot it in Boston, we\u2019re gonna shoot it in Toronto.\u2019 I was like, \u2018No, no.\u2019 So, I said, \u2018Listen, I\u2019ll give back 50% of my paycheck if we can go to Boston.\u2019 I did. And they said, \u2018You can give back 100% and so can the rest of the cast, we cannot film this show in Boston.\u2019 It\u2019s so expensive. For the most part, we shoot in Toronto.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe New Kids on the Block member also noted that \u201cit\u2019s nonstop\u201d in Boston, which is also his hometown. making production difficult.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cLiterally, the duck boats are going by, and the tour guides have on these headsets with speakers,\u201d he explained. \u201cAnd it\u2019s literally in the background of a scene you hear, \u2018Oh my God, there\u2019s Donnie Wahlberg right over there on the corner. I grew up near Donnie. Everybody get your cameras out!\u2019<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAnd then I gotta run over to the duck boat and pose for pictures with everyone. My cousins, my uncles, my aunts, my nieces, my nephews \u2026 everybody\u2019s there, and we wouldn\u2019t get any work done,\u201d added Wahlberg.<\/p>\n
