Errol Spence Jr<\/a> is set to make his long-anticipated comeback this summer, squaring off against a former world champion on away soil.<\/p>\n

The 36-year-old has not fought since losing his three world welterweight titles in July 2023, back when he endured a punishing nine-round beatdown against Terence Crawford<\/a> in their battle at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

Prior to their encounter, many suspected that Spence was the top dog at 147lbs, even after his life-threatening car crash in 2019.<\/p>\n

He had, after all, bounced back from the traumatic incident with back-to-back victories over Danny Garcia and Yordenis Ugas, only to fall glaringly short in his undisputed showdown with Crawford.<\/p>\n

As a result, Spence is set to make a long-overdue move up to 154lbs for his next outing, with Boxing Scene reporting<\/a> that it will come against former super-welterweight champion Tim Tszyu on July 25 in Australia.<\/p>\n

It has also been recently reported that Tszyu has appointed head coach Jeff Fenech after sacking his training team for the second time in three fights.<\/p>\n

This follows the Australian\u2019s unanimous decision victory over Denis Nurja in Wollongong, Australia earlier this month, which follows an equally dominant triumph over Anthony Velazquez at the TikTok Entertainment Centre in Sydney in December.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old\u2019s last encounter at world level, meanwhile, saw him suffer a seventh-round stoppage defeat to Sebastian Fundora<\/a> in July 2025.<\/p>\n
