While hosting the 20th annual\u00a0Time100 Gala on Thursday night, Nikki Glaser roasted Victoria Beckham over her refusal to smile.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne of the most impressive people on the list is Victoria Beckham, of course,\u201d the comedian began in her opening monologue, as seen in a video posted by The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>. <\/p>\n \u201cOh my god. She was a global pop star, now a serious fashion designer. She\u2019s married to David Beckham. She\u2019s rich, successful, stunning. What\u2019s it going to take to get you to smile? I mean, really, please smile. I mean, really, please smile.\u201d Kevin MazurGetty Images for TIME<\/p>\n The camera then panned to the fashion designer \u2014 who put on a tight-lipped smile, rested her elbow on the table and tried not to break into laughter.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, David, who was seated next to her, was seen chuckling and smiling.<\/p>\n The comic isn\u2019t wrong as Victoria has a lot to celebrate, including the Friday launch of her collection with GAP and celebrating her Victoria Beckham brands at the TIME100 Summit. <\/p>\n The fashion designer tired to hold back her smile while the athlete smiled and laughed.<\/p>\n While the beauty brand founder has a lot to smile about, she and the retired soccer star have also been in a years-long estrangement\u00a0from their eldest child, Brooklyn (pictured here with David, Victoria, Mia Regan, Romeo Beckham, Cruz Beckham, Harper Beckham, Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham). Brooklyn Beckham\/Instagram<\/p>\n However, in January, Brooklyn, 27,\u00a0issued a scathing statement<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 making it clear he wasn\u2019t looking to mend any issues. <\/p>\n \u201cI do not want to reconcile with my family,\u201d he penned via Instagram at the time.<\/p>\n Brooklyn went on to claim that the bad blood has been brewing since before he\u00a0married Peltz in 2022<\/a>\u00a0due to his parents\u2019 distaste for the influencer.<\/p>\n In the shocking social media post, Brooklyn also accused Victoria and David of controlling narratives about their family to the press his \u201centire life\u201d with \u201cperformative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite these claims, the mom of four (pictured here with her husband, Nicola, Brooklyn, Harper, and Cruz in 2023) recently said she and David \u201calways put our children first.\u201d Instagram\/@victoriabeckham<\/p>\n \u201cWe love our children so much and we\u2019ve always really focused on protecting our children,\u201d the celebrity (pictured here with her family) gushed.
