Roberto De Zerbi has provided an update on Tottenham<\/a> duo Dominic Solanke and Xavi Simons after the pair were forced off in the win over Wolves.<\/p>\n

Spurs secured a vital three points over Rob Edwards’ side on Saturday afternoon, with Joao Palhinha netting a late winner at Molineux Stadium.<\/a> The victory came with consequences, however, as Solanke came off in the first half with what looked like a hamstring injury. Xavi, too, picked up what looked to be a knee injury after the interval and was stretchered off.<\/p>\n

Speaking after the match,<\/a> De Zerbi said: “Solanke a muscular injury, Xavi it’s a problem with his knee. We go to see in the next few days.<\/p>\n

“Solanke it’s not a big problem, I don’t know how many games we lose him. I would like to know more about Xavi though because you know the knee, it’s always different to the muscles. He felt pain but now I spoke with him and he feels better than the beginning when he got his injury.”<\/p>\n

Despite Tottenham’s win, the Lilywhites remain in the relegation places as they battle to avoid a drop to the Championship. West Ham beat Everton 2-1 at London Stadium on Saturday, with Callum Wilson’s 92nd-minute winner keeping two points between the sides.<\/p>\n

“I believe we will stay up,” De Zerbi told the media after the win against Wolves. “If I stay here it’s because I’m positive. Not because I’m a coach of Tottenham.<\/p>\n

“It’s not important if you’re Tottenham on the pitch, the most important thing is the qualities of the players and the human levels of the players. It was a surprise to me. When I got to know them.<\/p>\n

“It’s just two points not 10 points. West Ham are a good team but so are Tottenham. When you watch on TV you can’t tell if they have the right spirit and the right attitude. Now I’ve worked with them every day and they are professional, good guys and they are suffering from this situation.<\/p>\n

“I just need to give them order because I didn’t like the second half.
