Arsenal reclaimed the top spot in the Premier League<\/a> standings on Saturday with a 1-0 win over Newcastle United<\/a>, but their success wasn’t without its issues.<\/p>\n Ebere Eze<\/a> scored the decisive goal just nine minutes into the match at the Emirates Stadium off the back of a well-worked corner, a common theme for the Gunners this season.<\/p>\n As a result, Mikel Arteta’s<\/a> side once more sit first on the league table heading into their final four matches, three points clear of Manchester City<\/a>.<\/p>\n However, with Pep Guardiola’s<\/a> side holding a game in hand over Arsenal, the Gunners will need to be perfect throughout May should they hope to clinch their first league title in more than two decades.<\/p>\n They will also head into a congested run of fixtures next month a couple of players light through injury…<\/p>\n Ebere Eze<\/p>\n Despite securing the win for his side and claiming Player of the Match honours, Eze was substituted off less than 10 minutes into the second-half. While fans will have been worried that the versatile attacking-midfielder could be set for a stint on the sidelines, Eze was quick to clarify his situation with Sky Sports at full-time.<\/p>\n He explained: “Yeah, I’m alright. I’m all good,” before adding: “Just precaution, didn’t want to do anything. However, Arteta also gave a promising update<\/a> on Calafiori<\/a> ahead of the game, with the defender also spotted taking part in a training session on the pitch after the match.<\/p>\n He said: “He was very close. But we have certain players that are coming back from injuries and can play certain moments as well, and we need to be balanced in what we need to.”<\/p>\n Potential return date: Wednesday, April 29 vs Atletico Madrid (A)<\/p>\n Jurrien Timber<\/p>\n Timber<\/a> was also missing from Arteta’s squad against Newcastle owing to a hip injury he picked up almost six weeks ago.
