James Ramm → Western Force

James Ramm’s exit sees one of Northampton’s most dangerous attacking backs head back to Australia. Since joining the club, he has stood out for his athleticism, aerial ability and finishing, becoming a consistent threat in open play.

Comfortable across the back three, Ramm brought versatility as well as flair, and his departure leaves a noticeable gap in Saints’ attacking options. A move to Western Force represents both a homecoming and an opportunity to test himself in Super Rugby.

Tom James → Saracens

Tom James will remain in the Premiership but take the next step in his career with Saracens. While not always a headline name, he has been a reliable and adaptable member of the Saints backline.

His ability to cover multiple positions made him a valuable squad player, and his consistency ensured he was regularly called upon when needed. At Saracens, he joins a highly competitive setup that will challenge him to elevate his game further.

George Furbank → Harlequins

The most high-profile departure is that of George Furbank, a product of Northampton’s academy and a central figure in the team for several seasons. Equally comfortable at full-back or fly-half, he has been instrumental in shaping the club’s attacking style.

An England international with significant Premiership experience, Furbank combines vision, composure and creativity, making him a major asset for Harlequins. His exit represents not just the loss of a key player, but also of a leader who has been closely tied to the club’s identity.
