\n Western Design Architects (WDA), based in Tarrant Hinton near Blandford, is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a portfolio spanning private residential, public, educational, healthcare, agricultural and heritage work across Dorset and the UK.\n<\/p>\n
\n The practice is recognised as one of the south west\u2019s leading RIBA Chartered practices and is led by directors Matthew Witt, Jonathan Turvey, Phil Easton and Matthew Haley.\n<\/p>\n

\n Jonathan Turvey, director at WDA, said: “Celebrating 40 years in the architectural profession is both an honour and a reflection of our enduring passion for what we do.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We are proud to be architects.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We are able to make a difference to other people\u2019s lives, it is our opportunity and responsibility to make a positive contribution to the built environment.\n<\/p>\n
\n “This milestone is not just about our history, but about the lasting impact we continue to shape for future generations.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Over the past four decades, WDA has completed more than 2,000 projects and received more than 65 awards for its work.\n<\/p>\n
\n Notable Dorset projects include the Harbour View Crematorium, Upton Country House, and the STEAM Hub at Talbot Heath School.\n<\/p>\n
\n The firm\u2019s specialties include contemporary schemes and historic conservation.\n<\/p>\n
\n Founding director Phil Easton is one of only three RIBA Accredited Conservation Architects in Dorset.\n<\/p>\n
\n Mr Easton said: “We need to keep our built heritage alive.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Old buildings are a legacy from our past, what we have today, and what we pass on to future generations.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It is our responsibility to save, to preserve, to conserve, and to enhance.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The company employs more than 18 professionals and intends to share its 40th year celebrations throughout the year on its social media platforms.\n<\/p>\n
