{"id":554017,"date":"2026-04-27T22:26:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-27T22:26:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/554017\/"},"modified":"2026-04-27T22:26:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T22:26:10","slug":"jimmy-doherty-and-clarkes-of-walsham-enter-tandem-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/554017\/","title":{"rendered":"Jimmy Doherty and Clarkes of Walsham enter tandem challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Jimmy Doherty of Jimmy\u2019s Farm &amp; Wildlife Park at Wherstead, Ipswich, has teamed up with local builders\u2019 merchant and outdoor retailers Clarkes of Walsham to launch their Can You Ride Tandem event.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  All funds raised by the two teams taking part will be for the Big Give\u2019s EarthRaise campaign, which aims to help the British Swallowtail &#8211; the UK&#8217;s largest native butterfly &#8211; and its fragile Norfolk Broads habitat.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eadt.co.uk\/newsletters\/business\/2351\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">SIGN UP HERE FOR YOUR DAILY BUSINESS BULLETIN<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Jimmy Doherty &#8211; the founder of Jimmy&#8217;s Farm and patron of Space for the Wild &#8211; will ride tandem with his park director Stevie Sheppard.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Clarkes of Walsham managing director Richard Balls will ride with company sales manager Rob Fuller.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The two tandem teams will vie with each other in a friendly, action-driven challenge to plant milk parsley &#8211; an essential food plant for the British Swallowtail &#8211; across key areas of the Norfolk Broads.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Richard Balls said his team was up for the challenge.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;If we can use a bit of friendly rivalry to help restore habitat for one of the UK\u2019s rarest butterflies, then we\u2019re all in.
