Remember, all prices are correct at the time of publishing and subject to change. And please gamble responsibly.

The Banker: Hennie du Plessis

20/1 e/w (Bet365 8 Places 1/5 Odds)

I am going to keep this one short. Last week, we backed Adrian Otageui on the strength of his run of three top 6 finishes in his last four events coming into China, and of course his affinity with China in particular, and a similar case can be made for Hennie du Plessis this week.

The break has been longer and he doesn’t have the affinity with Turkey that Otaegui had with China, but Du Plessis has finished 4th or better in his last three starts, sitting inside the top 3 going into the final round of all of them, and before that he had posted three top 20 finishes as well.

Du Plessis is on fire, he is one of the most in-form players on the Tour, and while he hasn’t played in 7 weeks, I just hope that has only inflated his price, more than it has affected his chances of contending.

The stats suggest he will need to be more accurate off the tee this week, but he ranks inside the top 25 for SG Approach and the more traditional Greens in Regulation, and his lack of accuracy hasn’t held him back from posting six straight top 20s to start the year, even at courses where you may have expected it to be a hinderance.

Back an in-form player at a decent number, until we have reason to think otherwise.

The Outsider: Antoine Rozner

55/1 e/w (Boyle Sports 6 Places 1/5 Odds)

We backed Antoine Rozner at 30/1 at the Joburg Open and while he missed the cut there, he is now 25 points bigger and comes into this one off the back of another top 10 finish in China this week.

That 8th place finish last week was his best finish of the season so far, and the third time in 2026 he’s finished inside the top 10. As a player who regularly features on the first page of the leaderboard on this Tour, we obviously have elevated expectations of him, but with five top 15 finishes to his name this season already, he’s not far from living up to it, and he’s priced aggressively in a weak-ish field.

Strokes-gained data is patchy at best in the South Africa and Asian Tour events on the DP World Tour, but I can absolutely believe that he’s ranked 5th, 2nd, 2nd and 9th in SG Approach the past four times he’s made the cut, and that ball-striking suggest he’s well on his way to another win.

At his best he’s among the class in this field and he’s not far from that, so I think we take our chances here at an elevated price.

The Long Shot: Kiradech Aphibarnrat

110/1 e/w (Coral, Ladbrokes 7 Places 1/5 Odds)

Talking of class of the field, Kiradech Aphibarnrat threatens to be that numerous times throughout a season and we know at his best he can hang in major championships, having posted top 15 finishes at The Masters and the US Open and top 32 finishes in the other two.

What he does on the DP World Tour is more relevant to this week though, and over the years he’s won four times at this level. Twice he’s won closer to home in Asia, and he’s then won two match play events in Scotland and Australia since then. He hasn’t won though since 2018 and that is the elephant in the room, but he’s certainly come close on more than one occasion.

He had the chance to win in Asia again at the Singapore Classic in 2024 and made a really good run at winning at Wentworth in 2021, so he’s had chances to win big events again, and this might be his route back to the winners’ circle.

Twice he finished inside the top-6 in this event in the past, and while both of those came on different courses to this one, which is new to most this week, I do think familiarity with country conditions is a big thing. That played into his hands last week when posting a season-best 13th in China last week, and I think it will again here in Turkey, where he’s finished 3rd and been the 54-hole leader, so clearly, he had two realistic chances to win.

There’s a bit more to it than “he played well in China last week like he normally does so hopefully he does the same this week in Turkey” but at 110/1 the case wouldn’t need to be much stronger than that anyway.

To strengthen his case though, when he finished 34th in Kenya he was 3rd after round and was still 8th at halfway, it was similar a week later at the SA Open when he finished 57th but was inside the top 10 for the first two rounds, and he made his last two cuts before his 13th last week, where he shot two 66s, so the signs have been and are still there.

At big odds, I like his chances in a field that lacks depth at the top of the market.

The Bonus Bet: Eddie Pepperrell

90/1 e/w (Coral, Ladbrokes 7 Places 1/5 Odds)

Eddie Pepperrell has been well off my radar for a while now, mainly due to him having the yips off the tee, but this season he ranks 29th in Driving Accuracy, and while he’s going to be some way back off the tee, as he tends to club down to protect against that, at least he’s finding fairways which will be key here.

Dead-last on Tour in Driving Distance, I wouldn’t like his chances at a big course, but somewhere where you could potentially plod round and take advantage of just being in the fairway, this looks a good test for the much-loved Englishman.

It’s not very scientific, but you tend to know when Pepperell is playing well, as he talks more, and he’s just recently launched his Substack to talk through his golf and life. Simply put, he doesn’t tend to do this sort of thing when he’s completely searching for his game, and with four top 30s in a row to this name, including two top 10s, there’s reason for optimism.

The first of those top 30s was an 18th at the NTT Data Pro-Am, but he’s since added a 5th at the South African Open, a 28th at the Joburg Open, and a 9th last time out at the Hainan Classic, where he got better every day.

He now returns to Turkey, where he has two top 10 finishes to his name, the best a 6th in 2017, in far better company, and where he was in 2nd at halfway.

Pepperell likes playing in Turkey, he’s piecing results together, and at 90/1 I think he’s more than worth a punt, as like Rozner and Aphibarnrat before him, he does have the potential to be the class of the field on his day.

2026 Turkish Airlines Open key details Dates: April 30-May 3Venue: The National GC, Belek, TurkiyeCourse: Par-72; 6,662 yardsFormat: 72-hole stroke…

[39
5904,101,56,54,55
post-554691","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-golf","tag-golf","tag-sports","tag-uk","tag-united-kingdom","tag-unitedkingdom
["GET
