\n\tUniversal\u2019s \u201cMichael<\/a>\u201d opened at No. 1 at the U.K. and Ireland box office with \u00a311.6 million ($15.6 million), according to Comscore, delivering one of the strongest debuts of the year in the territory.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe studio also held second place with \u201cThe Super Mario Galaxy Movie<\/a>,\u201d which added $1.4 million in its fourth weekend to reach $46.5 million in total.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cProject Hail Mary<\/a>,\u201d distributed by Sony, placed third, taking $1.1 million in its sixth frame for a cumulative $43.1 million. Entertainment Film Distributors\u2019 \u201cThe Drama\u201d followed in fourth with $682,000, lifting its total to $12.4 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tWarner Bros.\u2019 \u201cLee Cronin\u2019s The Mummy\u201d rounded out the top five, adding $485,000 in its second weekend to reach $2.4 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tFurther down the chart, Entertainment Film Distributors\u2019 \u201cThe Magic Faraway Tree\u201d placed sixth with $459,000, bringing its cumulative to $18.7 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tAmong new entries, BFI Distribution\u2019s \u201cRose of Nevada\u201d debuted in seventh with $232,000, followed by Vertigo Releasing\u2019s \u201cExit 8\u201d in eighth with $190,000. Disney\u2019s 4K reissue of \u201cFight Club\u201d opened ninth with $133,000.<\/p>\n

\n\tRounding out the top 10, Trafalgar Releasing\u2019s \u201cThe Magic Flute \u2013 ROH, London 2026 (Opera)\u201d added \u00a3$118,000 in its opening weekend, bringing its cumulative to $596,000.<\/p>\n

\n\tLooking ahead, Disney\u2019s \u201cThe Devil Wears Prada 2\u201d is set to lead the upcoming frame as the primary studio release. Black Bear\u2019s wide horror title \u201cHokum,\u201d starring Adam Scott, also rolls out across 300 locations, while Sony brings anime feature \u201cThat Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Tears of the Azure Sea\u201d to cinemas.<\/p>\n

\n\tEvent cinema remains a key component, with Trafalgar Releasing presenting \u201cPower to the People: John & Yoko Live in NYC\u201d and \u201cEugene Onegin \u2013 Met Opera 2026 (Opera).\u201d MusicFilmNetwork adds documentary \u201cDi\u2019Anno \u2013 Iron Maiden\u2019s Lost Singer,\u201d while Underground Slate opens \u201cSearching for Satyrus\u201d at the start of the week.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe specialty and international market is active.
