Tottenham Hotspur are ramping up their search for a number ten to replace James Maddison, and the Lilywhites have now added a French youngster to their wishlist.<\/p>\n

Dejan Kulusevski is set to miss the first month of the new season<\/a> as he continues to work his way back from injury.<\/p>\n

With James Maddison now joining the Swede on the treatment table, Spurs fans on social media are now desperate to see the club sign a number ten swiftly<\/a> as the season draws closer.<\/p>\n

A whole host of attacking midfielders have been linked with a move to Tottenham<\/a> over recent weeks, and another name has now been added to the club\u2019s wishlist.<\/p>\n

The Mirror<\/a> have now revealed that Spurs<\/a> had already been eyeing a number ten prior to Maddison\u2019s injury, but the club\u2019s search has now intensified after the 28-year-old tore his ACL.<\/p>\n

The report says that Monaco youngster Maghnes Akliouche is currently being scouted by Tottenham Hotspur<\/a>, but it is unclear if he is an active target.<\/p>\n

The versatile 23-year-old scored seven goals and provided 12 assists across all competitions last season, but he operated primarily on the right wing, only occasionally playing as a number ten.<\/p>\n

The report adds that Aston Villa\u2019s Jacob Ramsey previously attracted interest from Spurs, but he is not thought to be an active target for the Lilywhites any longer.<\/p>\n

Tottenham have competition for two other targets<\/p>\n

The Mirror<\/a> confirm what we have heard from other sources over recent weeks by stating that Leicester City\u2019s Bilal El Khannouss and Liverpool\u2019s Harvey Elliott are also on Tottenham\u2019s radar.<\/p>\n

However, it is revealed that Aston Villa, Sunderland and Leeds United have all made enquiries over the Moroccan as competition for his signature intensifies.<\/p>\n

The publication also adds that RB Leipzig are currently in talks over a deal for Elliott, with the Bundesliga club identifying the Reds starlet as their top target to replace Xavi Simons, who is bound for Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n
