\n\tAlison Brie<\/a> has some notes for the franchise if she\u2019s going to return for \u201cScream 7<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a recent podcast episode of \u201cShut Up Evan<\/a>,\u201d Brie shared how she recently pitched for her character\u2019s return for \u201cScream 7\u201d after several of her former castmates were announced to be resurrected for the new film.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAlison was famously in \u2018Scream 4.\u2019 I feel like with new \u2018Scream\u2019 rules, even though she dies brutally, we could bring her back,\u201d her husband, Dave Franco, mentioned on the podcast.<\/p>\n

\n\tBrie added, \u201cYeah, where\u2019s my role in \u2018Scream 7?\u2019<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actress played the book publicist Rebecca Walters in \u201cScream 4,\u201d who was stabbed in the abdomen by Ghostface and thrown off the edge of a parking garage. <\/p>\n

\n\tIt was previously reported that David Arquette<\/a>, Matthew Lillard<\/a> and Scott Foley would reprise their deceased characters in the seventh installment. \u201cScream\u201d alums Sarah Michelle Gellar and Parker Posey <\/a>have since pitched for their characters\u2019 return as well.<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter Skeet Ulrich\u2019s return in the previous two films, Brie noted, \u201cI hear tons of people are coming back. \u2026 I mean, Hayden [Panettiere] came back in [\u2018Scream\u2019] 6.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOn the podcast, Brie also shared her \u201cproblem with the current era\u201d of the horror franchise about the survival of the \u201ccore four\u201d characters\u00a0Sam Carpenter (Melissa Barrera), Tara Carpenter (Jenna Ortega), Chad Meeks-Martin (Mason Gooding) and Mindy Meeks-Martin (Jasmin Savoy Brown) in the previous two sequels.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cToo many people live,\u201d she said. \u201cThe \u2018core four\u2019 needs to die. We killed [Jamie Kennedy\u2019s Randy Meeks] in \u2018Scream 2.\u2019 We should be down to two of the \u2018core four,\u2019 just by \u2018Scream 7.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe also admitted that the murder of original character Dewey Riley (Arquette) was \u201cvery sad\u201d and \u201ca mistake.\u201d She noted, \u201cKeep the main three.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cScream 7\u201d will be released in theaters on Feb. 27, 2026, with Neve Campbell <\/a>reprising her role as Sidney Prescott.<\/p>\n
