Jermaine Pennant agrees with Steven Gerrard and says Liverpool should sign Michael Olise as their replacement for Mohamed Salah.<\/p>\n

With 257 goals and 122 assists in 440 appearances, Liverpool<\/a> will have to sign a world-class talent to fill the void left by the Egyptian.<\/p>\n

Speaking to talkSPORT earlier in the month, club legend Gerrard<\/a> said Olise is his dream replacement for Salah<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And his former teammate Pennant<\/a> has also called for the Frenchman to be brought in after another stunning display for Bayern Munich<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Olise<\/a> scored their second in the thrilling 5-4 Champions League semi-final first leg defeat to Paris Saint-Germain<\/a> on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

He caused the PSG defence plenty of problems throughout, and did enough for talkSPORT’s Pennant to make his transfer plea.<\/p>\n

“Liverpool go out and get Olise right now, at all costs,” he said on X.<\/p>\n

“There is your replacement for Mo Salah. AT ALL COSTS. Any amount plus (Cody) Gakpo.”<\/p>\n

Olise has been one of the best-performing players in European this season, with 20 goals and 29 assists in 47 outings.<\/p>\n

Now in his second year at Bayern, he is on 40 goals and 52 assists in 102 appearances across all competitions.<\/p>\n

Chelsea missed out on his signing<\/a> a year before he made a \u00a360million move from Crystal Palace<\/a> to Germany in 2024.<\/p>\n

Liverpool could be the next club to attempt a deal as they look for a successor to Salah.<\/p>\n

However, they have been warned that Olise is not a feasible option for them<\/a>, and that RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande is more realistic.<\/p>\n

“In terms of names being that have been bandied around, I just don\u2019t think Michael Olise is realistic,” The Athletic reporter James Pearce told talkSPORT.<\/p>\n

“When was the last time someone went to Bayern Munich and arguably plucked one of their best players at his peak out? <\/p>\n

“It just doesn’t happen, it only happens for crazy money and I don\u2019t see that happening. <\/p>\n

“I think Diomande at Leipzig is probably more realistic and fits the profile more in terms of the type that Liverpool would be looking at.<\/p>\n

“But I know from speaking to one of our Bundesliga correspondents at The Athletic, they’re looking at \u20ac100m [\u00a387m] minimum – and he’s 19.<\/p>\n

“So is that value for someone who has clearly got potential, but is far from the finished article?
