\n\tFast-rising British star Florence Hunt<\/a> (\u201cQueen at Sea,\u201d \u201cBridgerton\u201d) is set to lead the cast of \u201cBare,\u201d the feature directorial debut of writer\/director Lorna Tucker<\/a>. Based on Tucker\u2019s own memoir of the same name and drawn from her own lived experience, the film is now in production in London. <\/p>\n

\n\tHunt \u2014\u00a0recently named a Dior ambassador \u2014\u00a0is joined by Isla Fisher<\/a> (\u201cNow You See Me Now You Don\u2019t,\u201d \u201cWedding Crashers\u201d) and Oscar winner Colin Firth<\/a> (\u201cA Single Man,\u201d \u201cThe King\u2019s Speech\u201d), alongside a impressive ensemble of rising talent. <\/p>\n

\n\tAmong the additional cast are Sky Frances (\u201cThe Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping\u201d), Ruaridh Mollica (\u201cVisionQuest,\u201d \u201cSebastian\u201d), S\u00e9amus McLean Ross (\u201cCalifornia Schemin\u2019,\u201d \u201cOutlander: Blood of My Blood\u201d), Mirren Mack (\u201cA Tale of Two Cities,\u201d \u201c28 Years Later: The Bone Temple\u201d), Lewis Gribben (\u201cBlade Runner 2099,\u201d \u201cBlack Mirror\u201d), Tut Nyuot (\u201cAnimol,\u201d \u201cThe Long Walk\u201d), Clay Russell (\u201cHamnet\u201d), Umi Myers (\u201cDope Girls,\u201d \u201cGet Millie Black\u201d), and Shane Walker (\u201cThis City Is Ours,\u201d \u201cThe Gentlemen\u201d). The film will also feature a cameo appearance from musician and DJ Fatboy Slim.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBare\u201d is billed as a \u201cvisceral\u201d coming-of-age survival story set on the streets of London, where a young runaway Sophie (Hunt) finds her tribe amidst the darkness and begins to reclaim her sense of self. Rooted in Tucker\u2019s personal journey, the film offers what the producers describe as a \u201craw yet hopeful portrait of resilience, belonging and the power of human connection.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film is produced by Gillian Berrie (\u201cFuze,\u201d \u201cRelay,\u201d \u201cStarred Up,\u201d \u201cUnder the Skin\u201d), Savannah Power (\u201cAnimol,\u201d \u201cPillion,\u201d \u201cMarching Powder\u201d) and Marcus Warren and Christian Moore for Consortium Pictures. The film is executive produced by Pia Patatian and Dimiter Nikolov. Casting is by Des Hamilton (\u201c28 Years Later,\u201d \u201cJo Jo Rabbit,\u201d \u201cAftersun,\u201d \u201cTop Boy\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\tAlso behind the camera, the creative team includes two-time Oscar-nominated \u201cAtonement\u201d and \u201cAnna Karenina\u201d cinematographer Seamus McGarvey, fresh from wrapping Greta Gerwing\u2019s \u201cNarnia,\u201d production designer Amanda McArthur (\u201cFuze,\u201d \u201cHow to Build a Girl,\u201d \u201cMiss You Already\u201d) and costume designer Jessica Schofield (\u201cAdolescence,\u201d \u201cLudwig\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBare\u201d marks the first feature under The Consortium Pictures banner, which is financing and producing. Pia Patatian\u2019s sales company Noora Films is representing the film for worldwide rights and will launch sales in Cannes.<\/p>\n

Tucker is an award-winning writer and director best known for the Sundance-premiering, BAFTA-nominated documentary \u201cWestwood: Punk, Icon, Activist\u201d and \u201cSomeone\u2019s Daughter, Someone\u2019s Son,\u201d which explored homelessness in the U.K. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c\u2019Bare\u2019 is a deeply personal story about survival, connection, and finding light in the darkest places,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s about being seen, the people we lose and the ones who save us. A coming of age for the misunderstood, the unloved and those who slip through the cracks of society.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film is made in collaboration with official charitable partners Under One Sky and The Connection at St Martin\u2019s, which work at a grassroots level to support homelessness on the streets.<\/p>\n
