\n The Penguin Peloton are aiming to raise \u00a350,000 for Penguins Against Cancer, a charity set up in 2013 by Guy\u2019s Hospital Penguins, the oldest team from the oldest rugby club in the world.\n<\/p>\n
\n Between May 1 and 4, the team will be cycling from Windsor to Guy\u2019s Hospital Tower in London, via the Cotswolds, Wales and Hampshire, passing through Hannington, Bramley and Yateley.\n<\/p>\n
\n Dr Charlie Beardmore, President of Penguins Against Cancer and Chairman of The Penguin Peloton, said: \u201cEveryone is really looking forward to it. It\u2019s a great cause, and people get behind the cause as all the money we raise will go towards cancer research, cancer treatment and hospice care.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\n The charity has no administration or running costs, with every donation going directly to one of its six research funds, each named after people who have had cancer.\n<\/p>\n
\n Dr Beardmore said: \u201cSo far, the charity has raised and dispersed \u00a3705,000 and there\u2019s more coming. Hopefully, people will get onboard, all money donated goes to good causes.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n The journey marks The Penguin Peloton\u2019s sixth annual ride, with previous rides taking them to Portsmouth, Paris, Bruges, Blackpool and Normandy to raise money.\n<\/p>\n

\n The team raised over \u00a380,000 last year, surpassing their target of \u00a350,000 as \u2018people are very generous.\u2019\n<\/p>\n
\n This year, the 32-member team, accompanied by a four-person support crew, will be cycling around 350 miles in four days and expect to reach the Basingstoke villages on May 4.\n<\/p>\n
\n Dr Beardmore said: \u201cThe idea is to make it challenging but fun and interesting.\n<\/p>\n
