A rising Welsh rugby talent has been tipped for the very top after Liam Williams claimed he has the tools to follow in the footsteps of George North.<\/p>\n

Williams, who has recently begun working in a coaching capacity with Scarlets<\/a> after an invite from director of rugby Nigel Davies, has been helping to mentor exciting youngster Callum Woolley – and admits there is real buzz around the 20-year-old.<\/p>\n

Woolley, a former GB Sevens player, made an immediate impression on his debut against the Bulls at the weekend, scoring within minutes to underline his attacking threat.<\/a><\/p>\n

And Williams believes the youngster\u2019s physical attributes and mindset could take him a long way in the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe’s keen to learn, he’s always asking questions,\u201d Williams told WalesOnline in an exclusive interview you can read in full here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe’s quite raw. From what I’ve been told, he’s only been playing four or five years, so he’s quite new to it all.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut he’s got all the attributes to be another George North. He’s 6ft 4.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen Nige spoke to me, he said he’s got the speed of Louis Rees-Zammit. If he has, he’s got everything he needs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Williams also highlighted Woolley\u2019s attitude as a major strength, revealing the youngster is constantly seeking ways to improve.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe’s so keen to learn,\u201d he added. \u201cHe’s texting me all the time, asking if I’ve got any clips and wanting stuff to go through. It’s good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Scarlets director of rugby Davies recently said of Woolley ahead of his debut: “We’ve got some really exciting talent. Callum Woolley is a young boy that is not far from starting for us.<\/p>\n

“He was close to starting this week. So in the next three games, he’ll definitely get a start.<\/p>\n

“What we’ve done with him as well, we’re trying to accelerate his development. Liam Williams has been in with us this week.<\/p>\n

“Liam asked if he could come in and I thought it was an ideal opportunity, as he wants to get some experience in the coaching environment, to link him to Callum.<\/p>\n

“He’s been working a bit with Callum and some of that work on him has worked really well this week. I’m really delighted with how that’s gone.<\/p>\n

“He’s somebody we’ll probably see in the next two or three games. He’s six foot four and he’s one of the quickest in Wales. He really is excellent.
