{"id":559047,"date":"2026-04-30T17:04:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-30T17:04:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/559047\/"},"modified":"2026-04-30T17:04:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T17:04:10","slug":"dunbars-carl-marah-performs-on-polish-tv-talent-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/559047\/","title":{"rendered":"Dunbar&#8217;s Carl Marah performs on Polish TV talent show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Carl Marah, of Dunbar, made it through to the semi-final of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eastlothiancourier.com\/news\/25999803.east-lothian-musician-reaches-semi-finals-mam-talent-poland\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Mam Talent!,<\/a> Poland\u2019s equivalent of Britain\u2019s Got Talent.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The latest episode, which was broadcast on Saturday, saw the former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eastlothiancourier.com\/news\/dunbar\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Dunbar Grammar School<\/a> pupil perform his own song You\u2019re Always Right in front of the judging panel of Agnieszka Chylinska, Marcin Prokop, Julia Wieniawa and Agustin Egurrola.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  However, he was not chosen to progress through to the final.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Following the show, which also saw Carl play electric guitar, he took to social media to say: \u201cThe first Polish concert and definitely not the last!\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Carl, who will now take his EP Me, Myself, and I on tour, had been encouraged to appear on Mam Talent! by his fianc\u00e9e Klaudia Jaworska.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  And, despite not being Polish, Carl, who is part of Logan&#8217;s Close alongside fellow East Lothian native Scott Rough, impressed the judging panel, getting through the heats.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  He also spoke fluent Polish on stage while being interviewed.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  He said: \u201cAs a kid, I remember watching shows like this on TV, so seeing myself performing on screen in such a professional production is quite an out-of-body experience!\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cI\u2019m really proud of my performance and it&#8217;s truly a career-defining moment for me.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cMassive congratulations to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/dreamcatchernina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">@dreamcatchernina<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/niewidocznedlaoczu.pl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">@<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/niewidocznedlaoczu.pl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">niewidocznedlaoczu.pl<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/kaczorexpop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">@kaczorexpop<\/a>\u00a0for progressing into the final!\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cEveryone in that episode was world class and great things will come everyone&#8217;s way I&#8217;m sure.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Carl Marah, of Dunbar, made it through to the semi-final of Mam Talent!, Poland\u2019s equivalent of Britain\u2019s Got&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":559048,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[29],"tags":[96,391,56,54,55],"class_list":["post-559047","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-tv","tag-entertainment","tag-tv","tag-uk","tag-united-kingdom","tag-unitedkingdom"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/559047","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=559047"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/559047\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/559048"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=559047"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=559047"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=559047"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
