Former Top 10 stars Matteo Berrettini<\/a> and Hubert Hurkacz<\/a> will meet in an intriguing quarter-final match at the Cagliari ATP Challenger 175 event on Friday.<\/p>\n \nIn a rematch of their 2021 Wimbledon<\/a> semi-final, won by Berrettini, this encounter shifts to a more intimate setting \u2014 the Tennis Club Cagliari.\n<\/p>\n The 30-year-old Berrettini booked his place in the Sardegna Open<\/a> last eight by ousting top seed and 2024 champion Mariano Navone<\/a> 7-5, 6-3. Hurkacz, seeded sixth, advanced with a 6-4, 6-1 victory against Emilio Nava<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n “Today was a great match,” Berrettini said in Italian. \u201cI rediscovered what I’d been missing recently \u2014 a competitive streak, that level of focus that I’d found more easily after a break in the past. That was precisely the goal of this tournament \u2014 to rediscover that kind of presence on the court.
