{"id":562219,"date":"2026-05-02T10:09:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-02T10:09:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/562219\/"},"modified":"2026-05-02T10:09:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-02T10:09:08","slug":"trafford-park-fire-aftermath-recap-as-awful-toxic-stink-detected-for-miles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/562219\/","title":{"rendered":"Trafford Park fire aftermath RECAP as &#8216;awful toxic stink&#8217; detected for miles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Crews are continuning to battle a fire at a waste processing site in Trafford Park this morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Firefighters descended on Tenax Road at 11.45pm last night, with the blaze involving scrap metal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Ten fire engines attended the scene alongside specialist resources.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Part of Tenax Road is closed this morning while crews continue to work at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">It&#8217;s the second major fire to hit Trafford Park in a week, following a blaze at Broadoak Business Park last Friday, which could be seen for miles around.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Residents have reported a &#8216;stink&#8217; in nearby areas of Trafford and Salford this morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">A &#8216;siren&#8217; was also heard as the blaze broke out last night.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Updates will follow in this blog.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Crews are continuning to battle a fire at a waste processing site in Trafford Park this morning.
