\n\tAdam Scott<\/a> once attempted an unlikely return to the \u201cHellraiser<\/a>\u201d franchise, even after his character was killed off.<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, where he was promoting his latest project \u201cHokum,\u201d Scott reflected on auditioning for 2002\u2019s \u201cHellraiser: Hellseeker,\u201d years after making his film debut in \u201cHellraiser: Bloodline.\u201d In the earlier installment, Scott played Jacques, a servant who helps summon a demon before meeting a violent end.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAt the time, Scott said, he was largely unfamiliar with the long-running horror series and simply eager for the opportunity. But when an audition for the sixth film came through, he was initially confused by the prospect of rejoining a franchise in which his character had already died.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMy agent sent me an audition for \u2018Hellraiser 6,\u2019 and I thought, \u2018Wait a second\u2026 I was in \u2018Hellraiser 4,\u2019\u201d Scott said. Still, needing the work, he decided to go ahead with the audition, thinking \u201cscrew it\u201d and \u201cmaybe they won\u2019t notice that I was in\u00a0Hellraiser 4.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tThat proved difficult in practice. Scott recalled sitting in the waiting room and spotting a producer from the earlier film nearby, prompting him to try to avoid being recognized. \u201cI was kind of holding my papers up, thinking, \u2018If he doesn\u2019t see me and they think I\u2019m good, maybe I\u2019ll get it,\u2019\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\n\tHe ultimately did not land the role.<\/p>\n

\n\tLooking back, Scott has described his role in \u201cHellraiser: Bloodline\u201d as a significant early break, even if the experience had its quirks \u2014 including arriving on set to find his chair labeled with the wrong name. Though the film itself underwent delays and extensive reshoots before its release, he said he was simply grateful to be working at the time.<\/p>\n
