Coronation Street spoilers<\/a> follow for the latest episode (Friday, 1 May).<\/p>\n

After months of teasing, Coronation Street has revealed the dead body<\/a> in the murder mystery story, as last night’s episode revealed that Theo Silverton met his maker and was dumped in the alleyway.<\/p>\n

Now the question is: whodunnit<\/a>? Fans think that a brief moment in last night’s episode might have revealed the killer before the victim’s identity was even revealed.<\/p>\n

In the episode, Christina Boyd went to pick up Todd Grimshaw after he escaped from evil Theo once again, making her partner George Shuttleworth promise to stay at home and wait for them to return.<\/p>\n

When the two got back, George was indeed there, but something was different.<\/p>\n

“Did you change your jumper?” Christina asked him as they shared a hug, and he said he had, as “it’s been a long day, hasn’t it?”<\/p>\n

Earlier in that same scene, George said that Theo “wouldn’t get anywhere near [Todd], I guarantee ya,” which elicited a quick, yet noticeable, look of shock and concern from Christina.<\/p>\n

On social media, there are plenty of comments saying things like<\/a> “George killed Theo. That’s why he changed his jumper” or<\/a> “So that’s why you changed your jumper, George!! Good lad!!”<\/p>\n

Other fans think that<\/a> Summer Spellman could be involved and that perhaps George only broke his promise to stay home after she called him asking for help, or maybe<\/a> he saw Theo intimidating Summer and attacked him to defend her,<\/p>\n

Some even theorised that<\/a> Summer could have been the one to kill Theo, and George either witnessed it or helped her after the fact, and changed his jumper due to getting blood on his previous one.<\/p>\n

However, other people have pointed out<\/a> that George being guilty is probably “too obvious”. Given how many red herrings Corrie has been playing lately, could these fans be right?<\/p>\n

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX<\/a> and YouTube<\/a>.<\/p>\n
