The UK government has announced a temporary easing of rules for airlines due to potential disruptions this summer linked to high jet fuel prices, according to the Department for Transport.<\/p>\n
Airlines will be allowed to combine passengers from different flights and reduce the number of aircraft on routes where multiple daily services operate to the same destination. The move is intended to prevent low-load flights and reduce fuel consumption, Caliber.Az<\/a> reports via British media<\/a>.<\/p>\n The decision has sparked debate. Conservative Party representatives said the new rules give carriers too much flexibility to rebook passengers at any convenient time.
