Marcus Rashford has given Barcelona the full \u201cMarcus Rashford experience\u201d, and even the Spanish press is now confused. <\/p>\n

Barcelona are one step closer to the league title after a 2-1 win against Osasuna, a win marked by Marcus Rashford<\/a> providing a decisive contribution. <\/p>\n

Coming off the bench, Rashford assisted Robert Lewandowski\u2019s goal in the 81st minute to break open a cagey game. <\/p>\n

Despite his assist, the Spanish press don\u2019t know what to make of him as he pleasantly surprised in a new position to confound expectations. <\/p>\n

Rashford\u2019s natural position is as an inside forward off the left, from where he can cut inside onto his stronger right foot. <\/p>\n

Hansi Flick also rates his versatility<\/a> of being able to play as a striker and stretch defences, but his lack of defensive work<\/a> is a deterrent in that aspect. <\/p>\n

However, against Osasuna, Flick deployed him in the position he likes the least \u2013 right wing \u2013 and he came up with the goods regardless. <\/p>\n

His defensive game was lacklustre as usual, but it is moments like these which confuse Barcelona<\/a>, because he now has 14 goals and 12 assists this season, which is a bona fide world-class return. <\/p>\n

That return has come on the back of decidedly non-world-class performances, leaving the Spanish press confused about what to make of him and his prospects of staying at the club beyond this season.<\/p>\n

Spanish press react to \u2018eccentric\u2019 Rashford<\/p>\n

The Spanish press have generally been appreciative<\/a> of Rashford, but they started to change their tune<\/a> recently as Barcelona\u2019s interest in buying him permanently cooled<\/a> a bit. <\/p>\n

The assist for Lewandowski brought him back to the forefront of the debate, and the Spanish press gave up on trying to analyse him. <\/p>\n

SPORT<\/a> summed it up perfectly, calling Rashford \u201cone of the most unpredictable players\u201d in the Barca squad. <\/p>\n

They wrote, \u201cHe\u2019s capable of producing a memorable play and then, minutes later, miscontrolling a seemingly simple ball. Rashford never ceases to amaze.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mundo Deportivo<\/a> gave up as well, simply calling him an \u2018assistant\u2019 for assisting Lewandowski\u2019s goal, with no further analysis of his game. <\/p>\n

AS<\/a> said that Rashford\u2019s assist for Lewandowski \u201ckilled\u201d La Liga, as the title is now all but Barcelona\u2019s. They called it a \u201cdelicacy by Rashford\u201d. <\/p>\n

Marca<\/a> rated Rashford highly, crediting him again for assisting Lewandowski, but angling their ratings piece around the striker debate, which Rashford is no part of any more. <\/p>\n

Rashford struck a confident tone after the game, saying Barca \u201csigned me to win titles\u201d and how they\u2019re close to the finishing line.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen whether Rashford is close to the finishing line of knowing where he\u2019ll play his football next season. <\/p>\n
