{"id":564228,"date":"2026-05-03T16:13:10","date_gmt":"2026-05-03T16:13:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/564228\/"},"modified":"2026-05-03T16:13:10","modified_gmt":"2026-05-03T16:13:10","slug":"man-utd-sir-alex-ferguson-taken-to-hospital-as-a-precaution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/564228\/","title":{"rendered":"Man Utd: Sir Alex Ferguson taken to hospital as a precaution"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Sir Alex Ferguson was taken to hospital after falling unwell at Old Trafford shortly before Manchester United&#8217;s Premier League match with Liverpool on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Sources stressed it was a precautionary move for the 84-year-old former Manchester United manager, and not an emergency situation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Ferguson, who managed United for 27 years during a glittering reign, watches the club&#8217;s games from the directors&#8217; box.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">No further update has been provided on his condition after his admission to hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Ferguson had a brain haemorrhage in 2018 which left him seriously ill.
