A man has been taken to Aintree Hospital after he was stabbed in Warrington<\/a> on Friday night, (May 1). Cheshire Police was called to reports that a stabbing has taken place at around 11pm in the Greenings Court area of the town, following an argument.<\/p>\n A 44-year-old man was left with a stab wound in his lower torso and was taken to Aintree<\/a> Hospital for further treatment. Cheshire Police said he has since been discharged and is recovering at home. His injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.<\/p>\n Officers are now appealing to anyone with any information to come forward.<\/p>\n Detective Constable Elodie Parkinson said: “No arrests have been made at this time and we are appealing to anyone with any information to get in touch.<\/p>\n “Officers are particularly keen to speak to a man and a woman who were at the scene of the incident, as it is believed they hold vital information.<\/p>\n “We also believe the driver of a Volkswagen passed the scene and may have witnessed the incident or could have captured it on dashcam footage, so I would encourage any motorists who may have been in the area at the time to please review any dashcams they may have.”<\/p>\n Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Cheshire Police via the website, or on 101, quoting incident number IML-2320317.<\/p>\n Information can also be passed on anonymously via CrimeStoppers, by calling 0800 555 111.<\/p>\n Get all the big headlines, pictures, analysis, opinion and video on the stories that matter to you by signing up to our daily and breaking newsletter<\/a>.
