{"id":565697,"date":"2026-05-04T13:37:11","date_gmt":"2026-05-04T13:37:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/565697\/"},"modified":"2026-05-04T13:37:11","modified_gmt":"2026-05-04T13:37:11","slug":"star-wars-memorabilia-to-go-on-show-in-beverley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/565697\/","title":{"rendered":"Star Wars memorabilia to go on show in Beverley"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Councillor Nick Coultish, cabinet member for culture, leisure and tourism, said: &#8221;This new and exciting exhibition will give families and visitors alike the opportunity to experience memorabilia from one of the most famous film series of all time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8221;Those who come along will be able to get up close to the collection, exploring iconic figures such as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">An estimated 300 million Star Wars action figures were produced between 1977 and 1985.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Matt Fox, who owns the collection and has curated the exhibition, said he saw Star Wars as a wide-eyed five-year-old on his first outing to a cinema.
