Firefighters have tackled a blaze at a block of flats in Edinburgh.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to the fire at the block in the Whitson Road area around 10.45am on Monday.<\/p>\n

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent three appliances and a number of additional resources to the scene of a fire in a top-floor flat.<\/p>\n

One person was taken into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service, crews said.<\/p>\n

Police confirmed on Monday afternoon roads have reopened in the area following the fire.<\/p>\n

There were no reports of serious injuries, and the fire is not being treated as suspicious.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: \u201cWe were alerted at 10.46am on Monday, May 4, to reports of a dwelling fire on Whitson Road, Edinburgh.<\/p>\n

\u201cOperations Control mobilised three fire appliances and a number of specialist resources to extinguish a fire affecting a top-floor flat.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne casualty has been taken into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwo appliances remain at the scene.\u201d<\/p>\n
