There\u2019s a new chapter on the horizon for EastEnders<\/a>\u2019 Honey Mitchell<\/a> (Emma Barton<\/a>) next week, when she makes a huge career decision.\u00a0<\/p>\n Since leaving her job at the Minute Mart a few years back, Honey has been keeping all the local traders in check as Walford\u2019s market inspector.\u00a0<\/p>\n Known for her no-nonsense approach, coupled with her frequent malapropisms, her job has helped cement Honey as a favourite among fans of the BBC<\/a> soap.\u00a0<\/p>\n But forthcoming scenes will see Honey set her eyes on the top job when Mr Lister\u2019s (Nick Wilton)<\/a> job as head market inspector becomes available.\u00a0<\/p>\n Lister announced his plans to retire as head market inspector back in November, as the threat of closure loomed over the Bridge Street and Turpin Road market.\u00a0<\/p>\n \t\t However, the late Martin Fowler<\/a> (James Bye<\/a>) convinced him to stay in post and help fight for the market\u2019s future, with him eventually conceding.\u00a0<\/p>\n With the market having since been saved, spoilers for next week\u2019s episode suggest that Lister has finally hung up his clipboard.\u00a0<\/p>\n Honey excitedly puts her application together for the gig on Monday, and later in the week she gets a surprise update. Has she bagged the job?<\/p>\n She\u2019s not the only one with job news in Albert Square next week, however.<\/p>\n \t\t Spoilers also tease that Walford East chef Zack Hudson<\/a> (James Farrar<\/a>) also receives some \u2013\u00a0but whether it is good or bad news remains to be seen\u2026<\/p>\n It\u2019s been a turbulent few months for Zack, who, after finding out that Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman) is his son<\/a>, was violently attacked by his mum Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington)<\/a> and nearly killed in a car accident<\/a> after being kidnapped by Harry Mitchell<\/a> (Elijah Holloway<\/a>).\u00a0<\/p>\n Surely it\u2019s about time he caught a break?!<\/p>\n![\"Honey](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/527313-a832.jpg\")
