{"id":570309,"date":"2026-05-07T02:38:15","date_gmt":"2026-05-07T02:38:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/570309\/"},"modified":"2026-05-07T02:38:15","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T02:38:15","slug":"bravur-reveals-grand-tour-sprinter-watch-because-timing-is-everything","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/570309\/","title":{"rendered":"Bravur reveals Grand Tour Sprinter watch, because \u201ctiming is everything\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Swedish watchmaker Bravur\u2019s Grand Tours collection is \u201ca tribute to the most iconic cycling races\u201d, and its latest timepiece honours \u201croad racing&#8217;s most electric and strategically complex roles\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The Grand Tour Sprinter is said to be inspired by \u201ccycling\u2019s fastest finishers\u201d and \u201cfor people who understand that timing is everything\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bravur says the watch translates the visual language of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/road\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">road cycling<\/a> into \u201crestrained watchmaking\u201d, calling out four specific features.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1001\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Bravur-GrandTourSprinter-A.jpg\" alt=\"Bravur Grand Tours Sprinter watch.\" class=\"wp-image-973329\" style=\"width:840px;height:auto\"\/>The watch face has a tarmac-like finish. Bravur<\/p>\n<p>The perimeter of the dial is said to have the finish-line markings of a race course, which continue on the caseback.<\/p>\n<p>There is also an inverted 13 on the watch face, in reference to the superstitious pro riders \u2013 or simply those who like to take part in cycling\u2019s traditions \u2013 who wear their bib number 13 upside down to ward off bad luck.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At the 12 o\u2019clock position there is a triangle like the red triangular <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/features\/tour-de-france-jargon-buster\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">flamme rouge<\/a> flag that marks one kilometre to the finish. The triangle is also loaded with the Super-LimiNova phosphorescent pigment as a &#8220;luminous reference point\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The dial has a tarmac-inspired texture, \u201cgrounding the watch visually in the road itself\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1400\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Sprinter-caseback.jpg\" alt=\"Bravur Grand Tours Sprinter watch caseback.\" class=\"wp-image-973327\"\/>There is a transparent caseback so you can see the Swiss-made automatic mechanism. Bravur<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1600\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Sprinter-on-wrist-2.jpg\" alt=\"Bravur Grand Tours Sprinter watch on wrist.\" class=\"wp-image-973328\"\/>The 15-minute sub-dial is \u201ccalibrated for interval training\u201d. Bravur<\/p>\n<p>Bravur adds that the 15-minute sub-dial is a departure from conventional 30-minute timers, and says it&#8217;s \u201ccalibrated for interval training\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis small detail makes the Sprinter genuinely useful as a training tool, whether for structured efforts on the road or the kind of informal timing that cyclists have always done on the wrist,\u201d Bravur says.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1001\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Bravur-GrandTourSprinter-G-ver2.jpg\" alt=\"Bravur Grand Tours Sprinter watch.\" class=\"wp-image-973325\"\/>The watch comes with a steel bracelet, and rubber or leather strap (pictured). Bravur<\/p>\n<p>The Sprinter has an automatic Swiss-made Sellita SW511 chronograph movement, with a custom rotor visible through the exhibition caseback.
