Harry Kane suffered Champions League semi-final heartbreak with Bayern Munich<\/p>\n

Harry Kane makes PSG “slight favourites” in the Champions League final against Arsenal<\/a>, having faced both sides this season.<\/p>\n

The England captain, who scored in both semi-final ties against the French giants, endured heartbreak as Luis Enrique’s men reached Budapest. Speaking after last night’s 1-1 draw in Munich, Kane was asked for his assessment of this month’s showpiece final in Budapest.<\/p>\n

He said: “I think it’s really even, two totally different teams in the way they play but two very strong teams. It will be an interesting final for sure, I think PSG being the reigning champions hold the right to be maybe slight favourites but overall I think it’ll be two top teams going at it, it’ll be an even match.”<\/p>\n

Arsenal and PSG met in last season’s Champions League semi-finals but the eventual winners got the job done, winning at the Emirates and the Parc des Princes.<\/p>\n

However, the Gunners will take some confidence from the fact that beat PSG 2-0 in the group stages last season (October 2024).<\/p>\n

While Enrique’s all-conquering side have improved since then, it’s evidence Arsenal can beat PSG in a one-off game.<\/p>\n

The Spaniard said of his compatriot after his side booked their ticket to Hungary: “I appreciate Mikel Arteta! We used to be teammates when we were kids, he did a great job at Arsenal. It will be a difficult, hard game but we believe in our football style.”<\/p>\n

Arsenal have three matches left to play in the Premier League before they face PSG for a shot at European glory.<\/p>\n

The title is firmly up for grabs following Manchester City’s rollercoaster six-goal thriller at Everton on Monday evening.<\/p>\n

If the Gunners beat West Ham, Burnley and Crystal Palace, they will be Premier League champions.<\/p>\n

PSG’s season finishes a week earlier than Arsenal’s even though they have the same number of matches left to play.<\/p>\n

It means they will be well rested before the Champions League final.<\/p>\n

Enrique’s men boast a six point lead at the top of Ligue 1 and still have to play second-place Lens away from home.<\/p>\n

If both teams win this weekend, PSG can officially win the title at Lens on Wednesday before their final-day clash with local neighbours Paris FC.<\/p>\n
