A Co Antrim couple who had \u00a3300,000 in damages overturned in their case taken against the gossip website Tattle Life have said that “the fight for justice for victims goes on.”<\/p>\n
Neil and Donna Sands had been awarded \u00a3150,000 each plus legal costs<\/a> in December 2023 after they took action against the site’s founder, Sebastian Bond, claiming that they had been subjected to a campaign of harassment, invasion of privacy, defamation and breach of data rights by users of the site.<\/p>\n In June last year, Sebastian Bond was publicly named as the site’s founder after reporting restrictions were lifted.<\/p>\n Tattle Life is an online forum which contains message boards focused mainly on celebrities<\/a> and influencers.<\/p>\n Earlier this year, an apology was offered after a solicitor for the couple accepted that previous evidence had been incomplete and that information known about Mr Bond should have been disclosed earlier.<\/p>\n Neil and Donna Sands<\/p>\n On Tuesday, Justice Humphreys<\/a> ruled that the couple failed to properly serve a writ in the case. An order freezing \u00a31.8m in Bond’s worldwide assets was also lifted<\/a> after Mr Bond mounted a challenge to the original ruling, alleging failures to make full disclosures in the court appeals and flaws in how the writ was served.<\/p>\n In a statement, the couple said: \u201cIt is a lengthy and technical judgment that we are taking time to review before considering our next steps.<\/p>\n “We never took on this work for financial gain.
