Nottingham Forest are incredibly interested in Salzburg\u2019s Mads Bidstrup, with the Danish midfielder now responding to rumours of his departure.<\/p>\n

Forest made Bidstrup their top target<\/a> after an extensive list of options in midfield, including Juventus\u2019 Douglas Luiz<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Reports have suggested that Bidstrup would be open to a move to Forest<\/a>, but the main stumbling block on a deal will be Salzburg\u2019s reluctance to part ways with their club captain.<\/p>\n

Evangelos Marinakis<\/a> will surely want to test the Austrian side\u2019s resolve with a bid, perhaps with even more confidence than before, given Bidstrup\u2019s comments on a summer transfer.<\/p>\n

Nuno Esp\u00edrito Santo wants five more signings<\/a> after completing a deal for Dan Ndoye<\/a>, with a central midfielder clearly required after the sale of Danilo.<\/p>\n

Bidstrup\u2019s remarkable pressing and energy in central areas look to have put him at the top of the list, sparking conversation about the rumours over in Austria.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Austrian outlet Laola 1<\/a>, Bidstrup said: \u201cI\u2019m really happy here. I like the city and the club; I really feel at home. [I\u2019m] focusing only on Salzburg. After that, there are three weeks until the end of the transfer window. We\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the positive words about the club, Bidstrup didn\u2019t exactly quash the rumours about a move to the City Ground<\/a>, quotes that will surely tempt Marinakis into a bid.<\/p>\n

However, Salzburg\u2019s sporting director Rouven Schr\u00f6der is attempting to quash the speculation before the Reds can push ahead.<\/p>\n

Of course, no club would let their club captain leave without a fight, but the lure of the Premier League is hard to turn down.<\/p>\n

Also speaking to Laola 1, Schr\u00f6der is defiant in his efforts to keep Bidstrup and he is confident that he\u2019ll be able to keep him in Austria.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThe\u00a0fans\u00a0can rest easy. We are absolutely confident that Mads will stay with us. We want to be successful, and Mads, as captain, is part of that.\u201d<\/p>\n
